Clinical Practice Educator Jobs

A minimum of three (3) years current ED clinical experience is required

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills required

Recent experience as a preceptor preferred

Canadian Emergency Nursing Certification (ENC(C)) preferred

Successful completion of a recognized course in adult education principles and strategies is an asset

Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of word processing, email and internet software required

Provide clinical education services including individual and group learning assessments and opportunities.

Completion of post graduate course work and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area. Completion of ‘Educator Pathway Program’ is preferred.

For designated Clinical Specialty Areas Three (3) years’ recent, related nursing experience in the designated clinical specialty area.

Knowledge of clinical practice related to treatment and care of the designated patient/resident population.

Knowledge of organization’s policies, procedures and standards of care.

Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in patient/resident care.

Master’s Degree in either Nursing or Education preferred.

Experience using a variety of software applications including presentation, word processing, spreadsheet and databases.

Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and practices.

Knowledge of program evaluation approaches and outcome measurement.

Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and delivery.

Provide clinical and educational support to designated staff within Vancouver Coastal Health and performs related specialized duties.

Maintains and updates own knowledge of clinical and professional practice, including hands-on clinical competencies by working directly with patients, clients, residents.

Master Degree in Social Work, plus five (5) years' recent, related broad Social Work experience in a variety of practice areas.

Master’s Degree in Education preferred.

Minimum three years full-time Perioperative nursing experience required within the last five years

Relevant Specialty/CNA Certification in Perioperative nursing required or willingness to complete within 18 months

BLS-C (HCP) certification required, ACLS preferred

Adult Education Program an asset or willingness to complete

Leadership Development Education an asset or willingness to complete

Master of Nursing /Health Care/Education preferred

Minimum of three years full time clinical experience within the last five years in a cardiovascular critical care environment required

Relevant Specialty/CNA Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing and/or Critical Care Nursing required (or a willingness to complete within 18 months)

Diploma or certificate in adult education or equivalent (willing to obtain if needed)

Leadership Development Education an asset or a willingness to complete

Previous teaching experience which involves designing, implementing and evaluating both traditional and non-traditional methods of instruction preferred

Participates in the development, system-wide implementation and evaluation of case management practice standards and competencies.

Clinical Practice Leader - Case Management

Demonstrated organization, communication and team building skills.

Knowledge of gerontology, geriatrics and the needs of adults living with chronic illness.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and policies.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Adult education and project management certification are an asset.
