Workday Payroll Lead Jobs

Payroll Knowledge and experience: Strong understanding of payroll concepts, software, and systems with experience processing payroll for a diverse workforce.

Calculate and process taxable benefits, statutory holiday pay, commissions and other related complex payroll transactions accurately.

Compliance Expertise: Knowledge of federal, provincial, and local payroll regulations, tax filings, and remittances.

Technology Proficiency: Comfortable with new technology and specific experience with payroll software, cloud-based systems, and leveraging technology for process improvement.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to review and analyze payroll data, conduct audits, and reconcile discrepancies.

Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to engage and collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum five years of related payroll experience

National Payroll Institute designation or working toward certification

Experience with unionized and multi-provincial payrolls

Experience with implementation and integration, building reports, and conducting system validation esting

Demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills

Maintain proper change management documentation to satisfy the company’s internal/external audit controls and compliance practices.

2+ years experience configuring Workday Payroll (preference for Absence & Time Tracking)

Experience with third-party Payroll providers (ADP & CloudPay preferred)

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are essential

Preferred experience maintaining systems that support complex organizations covering multiple geographies

Project management experience is advantageous.

Anticipates, develops, and improves internal audit capabilities to ensure all compliance requirements are met.

Build positive relationships with various stakeholders such as global payroll teams and Finance.

Manage regional teams and enable accurate delivery of payrolls for all our employees, acting as point of escalation.

Manage and build relationship with external vendor(s).

Creates an excellent employee experience through the development of self-service resources, proactive communications and by managing payroll and equity-related inquiries.

Experience with JIRA or use and configuration of Salesforce for Case Management or similar application an asset

Workday Studio experience and/or Workday Pro Certification(s) an asset

3+ Years of HRIS configuration and custom reporting/calculated field experience required (Workday experience preferred)

Experience with large global organization and able to implement solutions under tight timelines and prioritize work effectively to deliver successfully

Demonstrated experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism within data privacy standards

Experience with ADP Global View (PECI, PICOF, EXPR) an asset

Experience in financial services industry and HR project management

Contribute to the on-going design and enhancement of the HR solution in Workday to reflect RBC HR strategy and requirements

Identify gaps between business requirements and Workday functionality and recommend solutions

2-3 years of Workday configuration experience across one or more domains (Learning, Core HCM, Talent etc.)

Workday certification in one or more modules

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Deep knowledge in SLA constructs and adherence

A Bachelors degree (preferable in Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Workday Payroll Module

Workday Payroll certification is mandatory

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Good Analytical skills with ability to solve complex incidents, provide suggestions\best practices
