Required Knowledge, Experience, & Competencies

Eng. Certification in Ontario or eligible to be certified;

• Proficient keyboarding skills and working knowledge of People soft, JD Edwards and Microsoft

Supervises and manages the day-to-day activities of wastewater department staff

Responsible for internal and external reporting, adhering to legislative requirements (i.e. MECP)

Manages the departmental operating and capital budget; recommends annual maintenance and construction projects, and the purchase of materials, equipment and vehicles

Holds a valid Class II Wastewater Collection and Class II Wastewater Treatment certificates issued under Ontario Regulation 129/04 (MECP Certifications)

Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in the operation and maintenance of municipal wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems

Experience working in a unionized environment; supervisory experience preferred

Understanding of Development Site Servicing Plan requirements and processes would be an asset

Excellent communication skills are a must

Experience with relevant Provincial standards, regulations, and approval processes for all types of utilities and facilities

Experience with multi-disciplinary team project delivery, as well as alternative delivery models

5+ years of experience in rural and urban water and wastewater infrastructure

Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

Working knowledge of the design to award process for municipal/provincial clients, particularly the City of Toronto and the Province of Ontario.

Knowledge of the Alberta Environment water and wastewater operation and reporting regulations and experience in monthly and yearly reporting

A full-time permanent position with a salary range of $69,700.80 -$90,916.80 per annum (based on experience and qualifications)

Maintain Alberta Environment certification and other necessary training

5 years’ experience in a municipal background pertaining to infrastructure including water and sewer

Develop a clear and precise understanding of the project requirements and work plans including the defining of score of work.

Ensuring compliance with applicable internal standards, external codes, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.

Direct experience with public tenders and OEM equipment.

The work environment will include both office and remote work environments including onsite service and commissioning.

Direct development of plot plans, GAs, hydraulic profiles.

Experience with industrial networking; remote plant operations; and remote data collection

Developing and implementing remote data collection and processing to facilitate warrantee compliance and plant optimization.

Delivery of complete electrical and controls requirements for MBR projects.

Minimum of 3 years, up to 12 years, controls design and programing engineering experience.

Direct experience programming and design of Allen Bradley process controls systems

Direct experience programming and design of Siemens process controls systems

Technical College degree (CET) or 5 years experience of related work

Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.

Excellent MS Excel skills and advanced features i.e. Links, conditional formatting, lookup, and filters.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience with automating spreadsheets and databases using visual basic, java python, or other 3G platform desirable.

Experience with database applications desirable.
