Water Quality Analyst Jobs

Minimum of 12 years of experience providing waste and water quality management services within the mining sector.

Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment.

Experience in leading, mentoring, and training staff on water quality modelling

Proven verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in a second language including French or Spanish an advantage.

Experience using CE-QUAL-W2 would be a great asset

Familiarity and experience using any hydrodynamic modelling software would be an asset

The Water Quality Superintendent will use their strong team building and leadership skills and successfully and safely achieve performance targets.

Candidates with the required experience but without an engineering degree will be considered.

Excellent interpersonal skills required, including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment

Good communication skills with excellent strategic thinking skills

Proficient analytical skills required as well as a strong background in MS Office, Outlook and SAP.

General knowledge of Human Resource Management Systems (e.g. PeopleSoft)

Knowledge of data and information management systems and record management practices.

Strong planning and time management skills with ability to prioritize workload effectively to meet competing demands.

Manage training program database to effectively track course content, attendance records, relevant experience, course completion.

Manage Ministry certification/licensing program and training records to demonstrate legislated compliance during Ministry inspections.

Ability to learn and use Learning Management System applications.

You have strong writing skills and are experienced in report preparation

Great data evaluation skills, including statistical techniques, and a keen understanding of data quality requirements for large datasets.

Because of your experience, you will be relied upon to provide technical review of our deliverables.

University or equivalent education in environmental, toxicology, or biological sciences, or related field

6-9 years of relevant experience

Report preparation and writing skills are required, along with a solid understanding of MS Office suite and remote work software.

Geochemistry, hydrology, hydrogeology, water quality effects assessment, water resource management, aquatic biology

Knowledge and experience in the following areas is an asset:

Candidates will be considered for working from a remote office (within BC, AB, YT).
