Warehouse Forklift Driver Jobs in Ontario

Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required if possess appropriate skills.

Successful completion of Shoreline Fruit Fork Lift Qualifications and training program.

Clear communication (oral and written) skills.

Starting pay: $15-$17/hr plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium for night shift

Possess comprehensive knowledge regarding all handled programs, including part numbers, colors, and the involved containers for each part.

Inspect the lift truck daily and complete a check sheet before each shift.

Complete all required paperwork and enter relevant information into the computer.

Supply parts, components, and packaging to the appropriate manufacturing areas.

Maintain a consistent process flow to avoid production slowdowns.

Participate in a rotation schedule for cross-training in various departments.

Experience in warehouse management/coordination required

Workday commences at 6:30 A.M. (or otherwise communicated by Manager)

Overtime hours to be pre-authorized/pre-approved by Manager, in writing

Daily meetings with the Project Administration staff is a mandatory requirement

Perform other duties as required or assigned by team lead or management.

Inform Warehouse/Logistics Team Lead, Lead-Hand or Manager of daily activity and/or any issues/concerns

Assist in maintaining Security and Health and Safety requirements

Ensure adherence to procedural and policy requirements

This position requires interpersonal skills & the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment

Good knowledge of HACCP is an asset (training will be provided otherwise)

Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Locate and pick product and materials,

Tag/label and prepare orders for shipment

Load trucks, and Unload trucks,

Communicate inventory discrepancies to management on a regular basis.

Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse including, receiving, cataloging, loading and unloading.

Small engine experience is an asset

Health and Safety support experience is important

Roofing material/product knowledge is preferred
