Forklift Driver Jobs

One of our client is looking for a Forklift Driver at Brampton, ON for their facility.

Shift : Afternoon

Responsibilities

• Follow the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook.
• Participate in a rotation schedule for cross-training in various departments.
• Perform all job functions according to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following the principles of 5S.
• Comply with C-TPAT/PIP requirements.
• Supply parts, components, and packaging to the appropriate manufacturing areas.
• Inspect the lift truck daily and complete a check sheet before each shift.
• Follow applicable quality systems and IATF16949 standards.
• Assist with inventory movement tracking using wireless R.F. scanning devices if needed.
• Maintain a consistent process flow to avoid production slowdowns.
• Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions/behavior.
• Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Complete all required paperwork and enter relevant information into the computer.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have completed theit Grade 12 diploma.
• The candidate should hold a valid Forklift Operator License in a busy Manufacturing environment

Skill

• Proficient in verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Physically able to perform all essential duties of the job.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge regarding all handled programs, including part numbers, colors, and the involved containers for each part.
• Familiarity with the computer system, CMI transactions, and the ability to operate an R.F. scanner.
• Competent with word and spreadsheet programs.
