Warehouse Distribution Supervisor Jobs in Alberta

Responsible for all aspects of performance management, staffing, training and development of their assigned workforce

Ability to effectively motivate and provide leadership direction, coaching, mentoring and performance management to all Associates

The Qualifications and Experience with like to see:

Manage overall department process such as debriefing processes, transfers and fleet (5 ton trucks) as required

2 to 3 years of previous experience in a warehouse/delivery environment or in a supervisory role

Previous inventory and cycle count experience is required

Post-secondary education or equivalent experience relating to inventory management.

Provide leadership, control and direction to ensure the compliance of corporate inventory management and warehouse policies and procedures.

Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities.

Analyze and make recommendations to reduce, optimize and control inventory levels while meeting business requirements.

Manage and develop transactional processes to ensure data integrity.

Train and develop warehouse operators in all aspects of the warehousing processes, customer service and day-to-day job duties.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF:

· Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy

· High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and three years warehouse or related experience.

· Receive, load, unload in bound and outbound materials,

· Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Possess excellent organization and time-management skills

Post secondary education in a related field or experience deemed equivalent

Ensure adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies and regulatory requirements

Manages drivers' delivery schedule and hours worked

Manage and audit team member's timekeeping

Manage within labor and OPEX budget

Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.

Manage work flows efficiently, meeting the Requirements of our Collective Bargaining Agreement

Manages finances to ensure limited resources are used wisely

Plan and execute daily manpower Requirements for current day and week, keeping overtime to a minimum

Assign daily work duties to drivers and warehouse workers ensuring safety, service and productivity and reliability Requirements are met

Maintain Syntellic, Paragon and Xatanet programs (knowledge of these software packages an asset)
