Warehouse Distribution Supervisor Jobs in British Columbia

Responsible for all aspects of performance management, staffing, training and development of their assigned workforce

Ability to effectively motivate and provide leadership direction, coaching, mentoring and performance management to all Associates

The Qualifications and Experience with like to see:

Manage overall department process such as debriefing processes, transfers and fleet (5 ton trucks) as required

2 to 3 years of previous experience in a warehouse/delivery environment or in a supervisory role

Previous inventory and cycle count experience is required

Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, or business. A combination of a technical/business diploma and relevant experience would be considered

Team player: have the ability to develop and maintain cohesive working relationships with peers and management

Manage to KPI’s currently established and create new ones

Manage day to day of Dispatchers, Plant staff and Drivers

Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules, managing employee hours (signing off payroll)

Works closely with Quality Manager, Sales Manager, Operations Manager

Update Facility Management Development System (FMDS) boards daily

Demonstrate these skills and be able to share and teach this knowledge

Minimum 1-5 years warehouse experience, and 1 year or more in a leadership role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must have experience and/or training within a warehouse environment and with WHMIS, food safety, lifting techniques and Material Handling Equipment;

Strong knowledge of First In First Out (FIFO);

Demonstrated skills in facilitation, employee engagement, attendance and performance management, and safety enhancement

Understand and manage employees within company policies and procedures, including collective agreement.

Rotate stock and manage space within warehouse to accommodate product as required

Minimum 3 years of warehousing, shipping/receiving, or transportation experience in a unionized environment with at least 1 year of supervisory experience

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to create reports and deliver presentations

Complete product returns following all procedures
