Vice President Corporate Finance Jobs in Alberta

Minimum of 10 years’ progressive senior financial management experience in an oil and gas operating environment.

Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.

Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Manage the capital request and budgeting processes

Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury functions

Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost effective benefits package.

Demonstrated knowledge and sound understanding of risk management and internal controls.

Manage lender, banking, tax and regulatory reporting relationships, ensuring all reporting requirements are achieved.

Manage HomeEd’s insurance policies and relationships, ensuring effective risk mitigation and claims management.

Monitor and ensure compliance with purchasing authority and contract management protocols. Manage procurement processes, negotiate and authorize agreements as required.

5 to 6 years of professional services experience

Experience in the transaction advisory services sector assisting clients with due diligence services relating to merger, acquisition or capital raising efforts

Extensive experience in financial analysis and modeling

Experience in business and practice development

Undertake engagement and practice management responsibilities, including billings and adherence to professional practice requirements.

Financing capabilities including experience in arranging senior, subordinated, asset backed and equity financing.

Lead a range of corporate finance projects concurrently assuming responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery.

Manage, mentor and train team members.

Experience in advising companies on both buy and sell side transactions in the middle market.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
