Utilities Engineer Jobs in Alberta

Prepare and document all test results and upload them in the appropriate test management tool.

Analyze business and technical requirements to derive the use cases that should be tested.

Develop test cases and test scripts based on requirements and document release notes.

Basic test case and test design skills

Intermediate knowledge of the testing phase of the software development lifecycle

Basic knowledge of AMI systems or MDM systems

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Defining technical requirements to establish the scope of work.

- Overseeing project execution and providing support and training that aligns with requirements.

-Previous involvement in Utility IT projects or control room environments.

- Possess a background in managing system integration projects that involve coordination among multiple stakeholders.

- Executing stage 2 scope, as well as documenting processes for stage 3 scope.

Splices and terminates high voltage cables used in the high voltage electrical distribution system;

Installs new substations that encompasses all electrical distribution and transformation equipment for electrical service to customers;

Tests efficiencies and integrity of switches, transformers, motors, generators, protective relays and other related apparatus;

Issues safety clearance certificates describing protective measures and procedures during work processes;

Alberta First Class Journeyman Certificate in the electrical trade.
