Surgical Care Nurse Jobs in Nova Scotia

You must be a Canadian citizen or Philippine citizen and have your NCLEX.

Must have current Registered Nurse Licensure

Successfully passed the National Council Licensure Exam-RN (NCLEX-RN)

Must obtain ACLS & American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire

Demonstrated strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.

A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Experience with university educational administration an asset

Participating in ambulatory care team discussions as required, offering input and energy into efforts at improving clinic efficiency and functioning.

Minimum 1-year related administrative experience required. Three (3) years is preferred

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology (testing may be conducted on candidates)

Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness

Current Basic Life Support Certification

Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Permanent Full-time (FTE 100%); 75 Hours Bi-weekly

Halifax, NS B3H 2Y9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Registered Nurse (RN) License (preferred)

Overtime Beyond 44 hrs/week=1.5 times of Pay Rate

Can be day, night, evening, or weekend.

Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
