Staff Accountant And Senior Accountant Jobs in British Columbia

Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of management.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to multitask, manage priorities and workflows in fast-paced environment.

Manages all accounting functions including but not limited to General Ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and tax.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Five years of experience in a traditional (GL, balance sheet, journal entries, account reconciliations, taxes, and monthly reporting) accounting role.

Public practice experience is considered an asset

Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or other related field is considered an asset

Experience with AP, AR and payroll processing.

Excellent working Knowledge of Microsoft office program suite. (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Familiar with ERP use. Vista ERP knowledge is considered an asset.

Experience in Civil Construction considered an asset.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions related to construction projects.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities for ongoing and upcoming projects, supporting project managers in financial planning.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry-specific requirements.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
