Delegate tasks to Clinical team under the oversight of the Challenge Unit Research Manager

Provide updates to Challenge Unit Research Manager on study progress and participant engagement

Handle appointment bookings, enrollments, and follow-up with under the supervision of the Challenge Unit Research Manager.

Maintain a current knowledge of the study status and important milestones

1+ years of experience with in-patient clinical research, specifically clinical trials

2+ years of relevant experience within a university research setting, hospital, or comparable environment

Shares nursing knowledge with colleagues

Knowledge with Microsoft office required

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—interact effectively with professional, administrative staff, sponsor and regulatory representatives, patients, potential subjects, and referral sources

Reviews lab and ECG results

Collects vital signs and ECGs

Administers oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal medications

Comprehensive knowledge of gender based and sexual violence and experience counselling people through the trauma recovery process

Experience providing public education and training

Minimum 2 years (full-time) supervised in-person counselling experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Provide individual and group counselling to individuals who have experience sexual violence

Participates in training courses and in-services offered elsewhere and by Klinic in order to maintain and improve quality of service

Excellent time management and organization skills

Graduate degree in health, social, or behavioural sciences or equivalent education and experience

Minimum 5-years of research experience

Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written

Experience working in a healthcare setting

Global health and population health background

Effective project management, research and analytical skills

Skill and experience in assisting/conducting qualitative data collection, specifically interviewing skills and focus group facilitation for data collection.

Skill and ability to approach and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.

Effective interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills suitable to engaging successfully with a complex external co-investigator and knowledge user team.

Manages documents and processes on SharePoint to ensure systems are set up to orderly archive and access relevant materials.

Ability to manage and track research budgets.

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Phlebotomy skills /experience is preferred

Other skills necessary for this position include: computer experience including MS Office and Excel; REDCap experience is an asset

Provides education regarding participation in the study and participates in the informed consent process

Supports research participants’ understanding of the procedures, potential risks, and possible benefits inherent to their involvement in the study

Experience in the field of Reproductive Medicine and Women’s Health is be an asset

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Obtains and documents informed consent, including screening prospective participants, as per Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

Follows clinical research training protocols

Maintains inventory of clinical supplies and materials, as needed

Implements data specimen transfer and laboratory procedures and treatments, as needed

Travels to other locations for outreach and interviews, including workspaces, community clinics, and housing programs across Metro Vancouver
