4-7 years of hands on experience in mass transit trackwork and Class 1 Railway designs from conceptual to detailed design;

Experience in LRT projects, supervising construction, and trackwork inspection

Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills in conjunction with innovative thinking;

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Project Coordination and Management: Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary project teams and data environments to ensure efficient collaboration.

Budget and Schedule Management: Actively manage the client's budget, schedule, and program for efficient resource allocation and adherence to project timelines.

Knowledge and experience in the application of Local Agency Codes and Standards;

Timely Project Delivery: Manage and deliver high-quality rail transportation projects on time, meeting client expectations and objectives.

10+ years’ progressive experience in planning, designing, managing, and implementing rail and transit-related projects;

Excellent written and verbal and communications skills; and

Must successfully complete training/certification in the following: Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR) and Track Inspection Guidelines (TIG)

Comprehensive knowledge of track, bridge structures, construction and maintenance including identification of deficiencies

Perform field audits and track inspection services on Metrolinx owned and operated railway corridors.

Administer track construction and rehabilitation for programmed maintenance and expansion

Establish, within regulatory guidelines, the priority, inspection frequency, and condition audit reporting of program maintenance and plant renewal implementation.

Ensure full contractor compliance with contractual agreement terms and conditions governing the delivery of railway corridor engineering services.

You communicate effectively with your peers, management and customers.

Manage mandates to improve the quality, costs and industrialization of motorsport track systems;

You have at least 5 years of engineering experience in the relevant field;

You have a proven knowledge of the tools used to improve processes and solve problems;

You have experience in different engineering processes (PDP, ECN) and product development processes (APQP);

You can manage several requests simultaneously;

Demonstrated capability to apply relevant knowledge and technical skills to monitor adherence to CP policies and standards as well regulatory requirements;

Must possess an Engineering Degree (Exception for non-university graduates provided sufficient experience and demonstrated performance in railroad engineering);

Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements;

Capability to develop and manage a project plan/schedule;

Ability to simultaneously manage priorities and ensure delivery of key performance metrics during emergency and non-emergency operations;

Ability to influence peers, cross functional co-managers and Executive leadership team;
