Support asset management team with tenant statement of accounts and queries

Manage and maintain proper accounting for all properties and upstream corporate entities

Minimum 5+ years of real estate accounting experience

Experience with commercial real estate

Experience working with Spectra or Yardi is an asset

Understanding project funding requirements and, working with the Finance House Team, structuring debt financing to meet project funding needs

Analyzing loan offers and terms

A University degree or diploma in Real Estate, Business or Finance

Experience working with proformas and underwriting deals

Excellent written and oral communication skills

A strong working knowledge of Excel

Preparation of financial statements, including management reporting.

Manage the full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable process.

Manage the annual budget and mid-year reforecast process.

CPA (Canada) with at least 2 years of experience in accounting with progressive, increasing scope and responsibility.

Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing trial balances, etc.

Preparation on month end packages for all entities.

Deep transactional experience and some exposure to asset management (ideally)

Relevant experience in a real estate-related investment business

Extensive knowledge of financial analysis, combined with strong attention to detail

Effective communications skills, both written and spoken

University degree (Finance related) with a record of excellent academic achievement

Superior knowledge of software and analysis tools for the field, such as Excel, ARGUS and PowerPoint

3 to 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity

Strong technical skills including thorough knowledge of ASPE and IFRS

Manage day-to-day operations related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and banking activities.

Provide continuous coaching, mentorship, and career development support to the finance team.

7 to 10 years related experience in both commercial and residential real estate

Extensive experience with Yardi Voyager

Prepare internal and external partner reporting for real estate projects and manage full cycle accounting

Prepare and process construction draws, cash calls , distributions and cash flow reconciliations and manage working capital

Atleast 2-3 years strong accounting experience in a public company or audit firm

Perform monthly calculations, reconciliations and recording of revenues and commissions for real estate projects

Support auditors for external audit

Perform month end closing and prepare accounting working papers

Strong negotiation and contract management skills with experience negotiating leases, management agreements, vendor contracts, utility contracts, etc.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management, leasing, or real estate investment

Responsible for overall performance and direction of asset management and leasing at Chard

Responsible to shape a department and elevate our asset management business to the next level

Assist in securing new clients for asset management and Chard Property Management

Drive cashflow and create value for each asset through hands-on and rigorous management of new and existing assets

Assists with presentation of site packages to management for approval.

Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive, strategic market plan for a defined territory and manage aggressive new store growth goals.

Manage a team of Area Real Estate Managers to identify potential sites for new restaurant development.

Ability to work in fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust quickly to change; multi-functional matrix organization experience is an asset

Innovative problem-solving skills: Critical thinker and ability to escalate when assistance is needed in a timely manner.

Technical skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Manage and develop skills and capabilities of real estate project management staff across the organization.

Project management certification desirable (e.g., Project Management Institute [PMI], Project Management Professional [PMP] or equivalent)

Manage a portfolio of real estate project/program management services (project/program analysis, execution and delivery) for the Corporation.

Prioritize real estate projects/programs based on changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk management and interdependencies.

Ensure adoption and implementation of project/program management best methodologies and oversee project/program management coaching.

Maintain a project/program governance and structure, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.

Walmart lead for management of all landlord portfolios, including Smartcentres.

Real Estate Professional education/certifications such as Masters in Real Estate, RICS, Brokerage License, CPM etc.

Manage all RE matters associated with owned Store support centres and any potential future sites.

Site redevelopment and surplus asset work stream on Walmart owned properties through engagement with development partners, brokers, consultants and Walmart associates.

Hire, develop, train and coach Real Estate team members to execute the real estate plan.
