Senior Hardware Design Engineer Jobs

• At least 10 years of experience in Hardware electronic design.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in the high speed digital field.

Significant experience in mid to high speed PCB design and layout, at least 10Gbps (100GbE, GDDR6, PCIe Gen+, etc..).

Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think critically.

Extensive experience with 3D CAD modelling, ideally using Onshape

Experience in mechanical design and electrical integration of complex systems

Experience in the design of moulded plastic and sheet metal parts and associated processes

Experience in design for Maintainability and Reliability principles

Experience with development tools such as Cadence CIS/Orcad/Cadence Allegro

Experience using optical test sets, signal analyzers, and GHz+ oscilloscopes for analysis of eye diagrams, phase noise, and overall signal quality

Hands-on debugging experience involving scopes, VNAs, signal generators, electronic loads

Computer literacy with knowledge of CAD tools (Microstation, AutoCad), Bills of Materials, (SAP), Configuration Management, Thales (ClearQuest), and Microsoft Office suite

Interpreting and the ability to write Requirements

• Analyzing user's requirements and creating a detailed hardware architecture and formal structured design

• Performing circuit analysis and traceability from user's requirements to formal design and implementation

Reporting to Manger of Hardware Engineering you will be responsible for:

• Analyzing and specifying hardware development environment (HDE), verification environment, debugging and profiling tools

• Performing electronics trade off analysis, detailed designs and evaluation

Analyze the product requirements and create a detailed hardware schematic.

Experience of working with RF interfaces like Wi-Fi, BLE, Cellular modules is an asset.

Experience with schematic design entry in OrCAD is required.

Experience with LTSPICE, PSPICE are preferred.

Experience with hardware development using Test racks and Test Equipment in Manufacturing.

Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Debugging Manufacturing issues is preferred.

Strong skills in hardware programing such as VHDL

Experience in System C, MATLAB, C++, and Linux scripts is preferred

Develop and implement hardware design for wireless IoT applications

Conduct verification and testing of hardware designs

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Design and implement complex algorithms and interfaces for hardware

Computer literate with knowledge of CAD tools (Microstation, AutoCad), Bills of Materials, (SAP), Configuration Management, Thales (Clearquest), and Microsoft Office suite
