Senior General Accountant Jobs in Manitoba

5+ years of previous full cycle accounting experience

Strong knowledge of Sage Intacct

Knowledge of CRM database (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)

Processes invoices against approved POs and contracts for goods and services

Processes expense reports ensuring compliance with the Expense Reimbursement Guidelines

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to analyze financial information and provide insights.

Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage AP and AR processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Financial Accounting Experience: Strong background in financial accounting, including month-end close, GL analysis, bank reconciliations, AP, and AR.

Food Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is desirable.

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Month-end and GL Close: Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, general ledger analysis, and reconciliations.

Advanced accounting and finance knowledge

Experienced and skilled in the use of all corporate productivity tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Flexible work schedule to accommodate job responsibilities, including requirement to work some overtime

Support monthly/ quarterly financial review/ forecast meetings in collaboration with Finance Manager.

Work closely with the Finance Manager to amend irregularities and implement new systems or procedures.

Post- Secondary education in accounting

Prepare monthly finance packages for use of local & segment finance teams

Other accounting/finance related tasks as they arise

Working knowledge of SAGE and SAP. OneStream exposure a plus.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills.

Ownership of the local control environment including completion of required SOX, audit and compliance documentation

Project accounting knowledge and experience

5-10 years of experience in bookkeeping in fast paced work environment.

Deltek software experience an asset

AR/AP/Payroll, including invoice preparation, issuance & vendor postings.

Reconciling various accounts, credit card(s), bank accounts and monthly vendors statements.

Post & maintain bookkeeping entries.

Management of reconciling returns from stores to vendors.

Oversee management of our employee reimbursement system.

The processing and management of gift cards.

Responsible for weekly reports to management regarding receivables, commitments and gift cards.

Prepare related reports to include, vendor billings, payments received, outstanding payments, total vendor purchases/program rebates, etc. to provide to department management.

Prepare Key Performance Indicators as applicable to be shared with management.
