Post secondary degree in life sciences, preferably immunology

Technical experience in basic molecular biology, and basic immunology techniques such as ELISA and flow cytometry

Experience in basic animal care and simple animal surgeries is essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be an asset

Experience working with BSL2 pathogens and infection models

Experience with intravital imaging systems is desirable

Laboratory staff / team and project management - up to 4 dozen people, in tandem with departmental management / stakeholders.

Hands-on experience running immunoassays related to cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, and protein / DNA / RNA quantification.

Strong English reading and writing communication skills. French great asset.

GLP development of new methods, objectives, and strategies for cellular and immunology testing and validation.

Sample analysis supervision in a multidisciplinary lab setting.

Data analysis, report and protocol writing responsibility re company SOPs.

Present data and disease management concepts on medical treatment to Physicians, Nurses, and Patient Support Groups when requested.

Experience in developing and providing training and education programs.

Contribute to developing research opportunities (local clinical trials & investigator-initiated studies) and educational projects at academic institutions.

Link internal partners to external Thought Leaders for education and research collaboration.

Disseminate scientific information including innovative medical education materials and research concepts to Thought Leaders.

Develop and maintain a database of relevant educational slide kits.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an Immunology laboratory, ideally GLP compliant;

Practical experience in molecular biology, flow cytometry, ELISA, RIA or cell assays;

Technical experience in In-Vitro and In-Vivo tests (asset);

Excellent knowledge and application of GLP;

Prepare and/or review study-related documentation (e.g. worksheets and technical procedures);

Prepare study schedules and draft study plans and amendments for Immunology studies (in collaboration with the study director, as applicable);

Strong technical project leadership and management skills

5+ years of work experience in food processing or product development; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Researches, sources, and communicates new product concepts, methods of preparation, ingredients, flavours, product use, processes, packaging, nutritional requirements, etc.

Experience in planning and conducting R&D projects, from benchtop to scale up

Strong knowledge of R&D (food analysis, chemistry, safety, sensory), engineering or food manufacturing

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365 and Sharepoint

This role requires Canadian Education or Degree or WES Certification.

Familiarity with any of the following areas would be an asset: Design Control, Design Transfer, ISO/FDA regulations, Risk management/FMEA methods

Knowledge of math and statistics, good computer skills, including knowledge of SAS JMP/Minitab
