The Coordinator will provide administrative support to the CFIQ office. The main responsibilities are as follows:

Manage correspondence and prepare or coordinate responses

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the cardiovascular waitlist management system.

Demonstrated ability to think laterally, solve problems, make decisions and take action in a crisis management environment.

Provide education and support for patients/families during the waiting period and conducts follow-up of patients post procedures.

Provides supervision to cardiac waitlist clerks and surgery and cardiology booking clerks.

Comprehensive knowledge of health care delivery systems.

Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, mediation and negotiation.

Considerable experience managing human and financial resources in a social services setting;

Experience in negotiating working protocols or partnerships with First Nations; and,

Considerable experience collaborating with various stakeholders and collaterals on joint initiatives and service delivery.

Bachelor of Social Work and a Master’s Degree (SW ,admin, clinical counselling, public health)

Previous experience in ECG’s, cardiac stress testing and Holter monitoring is preferred

Previous experience in cardiac rehabilitation will be an asset

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential

Currently registered with a recognized credentialing organization (CSCT or OSCT) or working towards it (recent graduates only)

Registration must be in good standing with the organization on an annual basis

BSc. in Kinesiology or related field an asset

Participates on nursing committees, care conferences and councils as assigned or as agreed to with the Manager.

Documents assessments, nursing diagnosis, observations, interventions, patient/family responses, outcomes/evaluations, and referrals according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.

Acts as a preceptor or mentor to assigned new nursing staff and students; shares information, demonstrates care activities, participates in orientation.

Performs other related duties as required.

Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area.

Ability to integrate and evaluate data from multiple sources to problem-solve effectively.

Manage corporate visa for VP, ensuring that policies and budgets are met

2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position

Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multi-task

Strong writing and verbal communications skills
