Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

Working in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure.

One (1) year experience in similar role is an asset.

Conversant in GMP/GLP requirements is an asset.

Proficiency with application software (LIMS), Knowledge of Microsoft Office and efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Good interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate clearly.

Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, decision making and time management skills.

Completion of product set-up documentation in compliance with Guardian requirements (including SDS, labels).

Experience in sample analysis, procedure writing and problem solving.

Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills.

Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Excellent computer skills that include the use of MS Office Suite of products.

· Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills

· Intermediate knowledge of HACCP and Quality Management programs

· Strong communication skills are a key requirement (verbal/ written)

· Minimum two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment

· Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word , Excel, Access)

· Working knowledge of business software SAP is an asset

Engineering & Public Works Department

Work schedule Monday to Friday (35hour work week)

$46.65 per hour, Pay Grade 14 (under review)

Experience working in the concrete or construction related industry is considered an asset

Strong product and production knowledge; have a basic understanding of the chemistry of concrete and its ingredients.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Implement the QC program (inspections, tests, completion of forms.)

Perform all types of concrete tests as required at plant & or in field.

Work closely with ready mix drivers to educate them on mixes, slumps, air contents.

Follow Company safety and quality requirements.

Evaluate mix design performance and consult QA/QC Manager for necessary adjustments.

Report any and all non-conformance issues to the QA/QC Manager and write necessary Non-Conformance Reports.

Civil Engineering/Construction Technology or Civil Engineering preferred; relevant work experience will also be considered

Excellent computer and math skills

CCIL or ACI certification preferred

Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Food Manufacturing or Quality Lab

Working knowledge of Food Quality and Safety Programs

Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Test to positively release manufactured products and create Certificates of Analysis (COA’s)

Conduct incoming sampling and testing of raw materials
