Public Space Supervisor Jobs

Minimum of three (3) years experience in a warehouse environment.

Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

WCB Forklift Operator Certificate and experience with materials handling equipment.

More than one (1) year experience supervising others.

Secondary school graduation or equivalent (e.g. GED).

Cannabis knowledge, demonstrated through experience in the cannabis industry or courses from an accredited post-secondary institution.

One year of retail experience* in a retail sales environment in the last five years and completed supervisory courses.

Retail experience involves provision of excellent customer service and a positive contribution to the presentation standards of the retail environment.

Experience working in a government or regulatory environment.

Experience working in a unionized environment.

Diploma or certificate in Business, Retail Management, OR courses in Leadership/Supervision.

Must possess the training, experience and knowledge to organize the work and its performance

General knowledge of library policies and procedures.

Working knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation.

General knowledge of Ottawa Public Library policies and procedures related to health and safety.

Knowledge of customer service techniques and protocols

Degree, diploma or certificate in business or retail management or successful completion of a supervisory/leadership course.

A minimum of 6 months of recent* experience with 3 months as a supervisor, in a customer-facing, service-oriented environment.

Experience with driving and achieving sales.

Experience in an environment with annual sales in excess of $1 million.

Experience with visual presentation and KPIs.

Recent experience is defined as occurring within the last 5 years.

Supervisory experience in a related field of one(1) or more years

Working knowledge of computer software packages is an asset

Accountable for your staff, assisting with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition and development.

Ensures proper inventory levels of supplies and ensures that equipment is operating efficiently.

Bring your commitment to excellence in natural resource management practices

Demonstrated experience in a capacity directly related to the focus of the position.

Preference may be given to those with demonstrated experience in administrative law and court prosecutions.

Successful completion of Special Provincial Constable requirements.

An acceptable degree or diploma in general law enforcement (i.e., Criminology, Justice Institute of BC Bachelor of Law Enforcement Studies).

Must be physically capable of carrying out the duties of the position.

Six (6) or more months of experience supervising, leading, andmentoring staff.

Must be willing and able to travel to meet job requirements.

Must be willing and able to withstand the rigors of fieldwork.

Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions.

Must be willing and able to travel in fixed and or rotary winged aircraft and or watercraft.

* JDA Floor Plan and Space Planning experience and expertise.

Experience in supervising and scheduling staff, allocating work duties, managing employeeperformance, change management, and delivering training and direction.

Experience with Integrated Case Management System (ICM) or complex information managementsystems.

Two years of experience providing administrative and/or financial support services for a group of staff.

Two years of public facing customer/client service experience responding to inquiries and resolving /de-escalating issues in a timely manner.

Experience using computer web based applications, financial systems, company pay roll/timekeeping/scheduling etc.
