The Cadet Coordinator Has The Following Responsibilities And Duties

Consult with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate all cadet classes

Coordinate all aspects of the cadet class including:

Creating a schedule for each class

Ability to communicate clearly in English and writing/typing skills are timely, organized, and create a full understanding of what occurred.

Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.

Answer 9-1-1 telephone calls, determine priority, send appropriate response, all while being calm and professional.

Perform all risk dispatching duties to include law enforcement, wildland fire, search and rescue, maintenance, and structure fire.

Ability to multi-task. Office is fast paced, can be loud and confusing with multiple radio transmissions and telephone calls received.

Must make determination of priorities and focus on highest.

One or more years related experience working in natural resource management

Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Diploma in a Natural Resource field

Valid Class 5 B.C. driver's licence or equivalent

Meet safety standards of Work Safe BC

Experience collaborating and developing programs in conjunction with a disability management team.

Experience within a government or crown organization or similar public institution (e.g., educational institute).

Recent, related experience must have occurred within the last 8 years and must include the following:

Experience managing a team of employees as a direct supervisor and providing guidance to senior advisor-level staff.

Experience developing and delivering employee wellness programs.

Experience developing programs aligned with best practices in retail or distribution environments.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

System Deployment, Operations & Management

Capture business requirements, assess technical features and capabilities to create and update business rules based on the requirements

Use enterprise Service Management Toolsets e.g. Remedy in order to manage encryption related tickets

Execute system updates on the Key Management Facility system.

Update tickets and the CMDB to document the activities (e.g. Key management, removals, etc.).

Utilize negotiation skills and judgments to de-escalate situations, always maintaining non-physical intervention.

Monitor public area retail stores for suspicious activities and report specifics to the Operations Centre.

Identify and remedy potentially unsafe situations and communicate such events and resolution to the YVR Operations Centre.

Attend to incidents post-security only when requested by SOC, by the Security Supervisor, or YVR Ops.

Provide ongoing security risk and threat assessments, and report potential risks or concerns to the day of operations staff.

Be responsible for day to day operation of the Airport Watch Program

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Successful completion of one (1) year post-secondary education in office administration or a related field.

Minimum of three (3) years related administrative and/or legal work experience.

Minimum 1 year experience in a legal setting.

One (1) year of experience in a high-volume production environment involving a perishable product

Experience in horticulture, agriculture or forestry.

Secondary school graduation or equivalent.

Be exposed to mold, dust, extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), as well as pesticides and other chemicals

Manage Bell’s partnerships with 3rd party public safety broadband solutions (as required)

Strong critical thinking skills to effectively prioritize and rationalize decision-making in an ambiguous environment

Ownership and accountability for the end-to-end public safety broadband solutions portfolio

Develop and maintain a comprehensive public safety broadband product strategy in coordination with the various internal and external stakeholders

Evaluate and recommend public safety solution providers in support of build, buy, or partner decisions

Assess and maintain competitive intelligence on the Public Safety market, potential partners and competitors’ products.

Experience with conflict management and dealing with emotionally charged individuals or groups.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Work experience in the areas of program administration, public safety, or security.

Experience using databases to enter, update, search, retrieve, or extract information ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Experience working in regulatory compliance or quasi-judicial environment

Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation, regulations and policy

Ensure error-free posting of content and effective time-management for timely posting

Use technical problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues

Manage and coordinate multiple web initiatives simultaneously

Possess at least five years of experience in editing or managing content for online channels.

Exhibit excellent English and Arabic content editing, writing, and publishing skills.

Have experience developing online content.

Time management and scheduling techniques to manage own time, arrange meetings and ensure that tasks/inquiries are handled in a timely manner

Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.

Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

Strong keyboarding skills and proven ability to learn and work with new computer systems and software programs

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Language Requirement: English oral, reading, writing required

Deliver curriculum as per program requirements

Minimum 2-5 years (dependent upon your program) of industry related experience

Previous teaching experience is an asset

Primary and Advanced Care Paramedic

Prepare for classes prior to delivery

Maintain and update curriculum as required

No formal certifications needed, however, any product management or project management would be plus

Working with finance to develop business cases

Experience in one of the following industries within public safety: public works, transportation, field services, manufacturing, utilities, natural resources, construction, etc.

Managing stakeholders and governance above to secure capital funding for projects

Exposure to Public Safety in any industry

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong organization and time management skills

Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements

Monitor all construction work for compliance with environmental health and safety requirements.

Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) or equivalent training/work experience

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Experience with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
