Registered nurse with extensive cardiovascular surgery AND cardiology experience

A minimum of five (5) years of clinical RN experience in the cardiovascular area.

Experience as a clinician or charge nurse in cardiac sciences

Experience in writing reports and scientific manuscripts.

Five years of progressive administrative experience in nursing management, or related experience, is required

BLS-C (HCP) certification is required

Three to five years recent acute care clinical experience required

Certification in Health Administration preferred

Demonstrates organizational skills and competence in leadership, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and motivation

Bachelor of Nursing degree is required; Master's preferred

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Expedite courier requests and manage the process of having assets returned back to Head Office

Support the BAM with any quality initiatives related to maintaining ISO certification to Innomar Clinics

Post-secondary education in medical office administration or related discipline

Minimum of 2 years' experience in the healthcare industry

Adaptability to change and to learn new skills as required

Ideally, you have related experience in delivery of educational programs or training to adults.

You have knowledge and experience in applying WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety and occupation-specific safety practices.

You are known for your superior interpersonal skills and can manage interpersonal relationships and issues effectively

You have a minimum of five years (full time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in the nursing field.

Occupational experience that includes oncology and/or palliative care experience would be considered an asset.

You have demonstrated experience liaising with business and industry in your field.

Minimum of five years recent medical, surgical and gerontological nursing experience

Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal ways of knowing and cultural teachings

BC Provincial Instructor Diploma Program, or its equivalent, completed or in progress (maximum two years to completion), from an accredited institution

Familiar with practice settings in Central Vancouver Island including community, gerontology and acute care

Responsive to a diverse student population

A solid understanding of the scope and role of LPNs in the Health Care System

Excellent organizational and time management skills;

Creating a positive learning environment that accommodate students’ diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences and individual learning styles;

Experienced in the use of technology to support student learning and manage grades;

Utilizing principles of adult education to actively engage students in the learning process;

Effectively using educational technologies to support learning as well as managing and posting grades;

Minimum of five years of recent health or healthcare experience that relates directly to the topic being taught;
