Outbound Logistics Lead Jobs

3 years+ in SAAS sales and minimum 2 years of leadership experience

Sales Presentations: Represent the company in outbound client meetings, conferences, and industry events to showcase our SAAS products and services effectively.

Works closely with cross functional teams to optimize usage of space and overall space management

Ensures forklift safety compliance, including on-boarding capabilities testing, daily inspections and training

With the assistance of the Logistics Director, ensures that the areas of responsibility are properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed

3-5 years forklift experience in a shipping and receiving environment

Basic math skills for counting goods and related exercises

Good computers skills with the ability to work with ERP systems (Global Shop), email, etc. and related peripheral skills (scanners, etc.)

Liaise with account managers to ensure orders and delivery issues resolved

3+ years of experience in a relevant role

Knowledgeable in outbound logistics procedures

Retrieve and process EDI and non-EDI customers orders in the system and troubleshoot issues (critical and non-critical) in timely manner.

Verify Purchase Orders (qty, prices, UPC's, dates, label codes, DIM/PPK etc.)

Work with the following EDI transaction sets (753,754,810,824,850,855,856,860,943,945) as well as Vendor Portals

Execution and management of all client returns, including RMA, logistics and administrative requirements.

Coordination of all Health & Safety compliance objectives and tasks, in conjunction with the Health & Safety Management representative.

Review of all pending shipments to ensure that the optimal freight dollars are being maximized including intercompany purchases and domestic shipments.

Respond to freight quote logistics requests and provide internal rate sheets to SSC and CSS teams.

Ensure all compliance tasks are scheduled and actioned as required and monitor for any legislative changes in Safety regulations.

Provide Safety reporting and related documentation as required.

Identification and execution of continuous improvement opportunities in partnership with management

Manage daily volumes and ensure work is readily available for team members throughout operational hours

Ensure timely communication and escalation of any potential issues regarding people, functions, technology, labour requirements or safety hazards

Creates a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion

Previous experience with WMS or similar programs is an asset

Previous order fulfillment experience is an asset

Accurately record PO receipts and outbound shipment details in the company’s ERP, and Warehouse Management System (SAP).

Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality.

Previous Forklift Truck driving experience is required.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold a post-secondary education preferred.

Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.

Be able to seamlessly transition between executing tasks and leading tasks in all areas of responsibility.

Oversee the transportation of goods, ensuring efficient routes, accurate scheduling, and timely deliveries to meet customer requirements.

Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, such as rerouting due to road closures, vehicle breakdowns, or changes in delivery requirements.

Utilize logistics software or systems to optimize delivery routes, minimize transportation costs, and maximize efficiency.

Assign drivers or delivery personnel to specific routes and deliveries, considering factors such as proximity, capacity, and urgency.

Superior critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and initiate continuous improvements initiatives.

Requires strong planning and execution skills.

Superior communication skills to develop effective working relationships with peers, customer service, and plant operations to maximize efficiency across the organization.

Rail experience is an asset but not mandatory

JDE experience is an asset.

Drive the daily execution of the IKO Logistics routine to meet established KPI goals

Support operationally the global strategic direction and initiatives e.g. Transportation Management System (TMS), drive the process change with all stakeholders effectively.

5-8 years of related industry experience

Knowledge in using excel to dissect data and basic analysis

Experience in GTNexus or equivalent is bonus

Proficiency with MS Office platform (Access, Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint) and Database Management. Advanced Excel skills are a plus.

A minimum of 2 years related experience in Logistics or Outbound Operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of transportation tracking systems.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Flexible and adaptable with schedule which could include nights, working required holidays, some weekends with occasional after-hours requirements and overtime.

Manages internal resource documents relating to job aids, SOPs, departmental reports and communications.

Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution or order fulfillment environment.
