Museum Exhibition Project Manager Jobs

Diploma, Certificate or degree in Event Management, Business Administration or a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education & experience

Ensure adherence to venue policies and procedures with respect to health and safety, alcohol management, customer service, and labour management

Develop and actively manage positive relationships with production managers, tradeshow producers, concert promoters and other PNE stakeholders

Ensure venues are prepared in accordance to contract requirements and client expectations

Must have 3-5 years of experience in the live events industry

Experience working in a similar venue is considered an asset

Experience with content creation/management for social media preferred;

Content creation and management for the exhibition, as required;

Experience in working in an art gallery, community gallery, exhibition, or museum preferred;

Minimum of 2 years experience in retail, service, or hospitality industries;

Becoming familiar with the exhibition (context, artists, thematic organization and content, artworks details, etc.)

Engaging positively with the public, visitors and exhibiting artists;

- Minimum 8 years experience designing exhibits from concept through production

architecture, interior design, industrial design or exhibit design

- Ability to develop and articulate a clear design rationale

- Proficiency in sketching with pens, pencils or pixels

- Ability to visually communicate complex topics

- Ability to contribute in a collaborative, creative environment

Demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills, effectively leading and motivating teams during exhibition installation and de-installation.

Exhibit strong project management skills, capable of efficiently managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a flexible approach in high-pressure situations.

6+ years of relevant experience, with proven expertise in project management.

Continuously strive to enhance project management processes throughout the institution.

Provide guidance to project coordinators, aiding in the development and management of production budgets, schedules, workflows, and processes for cross-functional teams.

Experience and knowledge of the exhibition development and installation process.

Effective interpersonal skills, including tact diplomacy and flexibility to work effectively with management, staff, contractors, and the public.

Must maintain valid equipment certifications.

Previous experience within an Equipment Operator capacity is required.

Must have considerable applicable equipment operation experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Must be skilled in the operation of specified equipment and in use of tools used in servicing and minor maintenance.

Must possess knowledge of the methods and practices used in servicing, adjusting and maintaining equipment operated.

Artistic background, such as education, work experience and/or interests in the arts

Previous work experience in a customer service-related role; comfortable interacting with guests face-to-face and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Previous face painting experience considered an asset.

Good communication and interpersonal skills
