Develop and optimization list for potential cost savings on product packaging working closely with Sourcing Manager - Packaging

Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a packaging development role, including vendor relations

Knowledge of manufacturing and equipment for food processing and high-speed packaging, as well as Bakery Manufacturing including ingredients

Strong leadership skills including building strong relationships

Strong communication skills (verbal and written; strong listening skills).

Strong judgement, analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of SolidWorks platform and experience with SolidWorks Routing and Weldments modules.

• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Establish design and operating conditions for equipment to be used in refrigeration systems.

• Confirm component selections: pumps, compressors, motors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, control valves.

• Design routes and piping to refrigeration standards while permitting ease of manufacturing/servicing.

Manage qualification of new packages or changes to ensure quality and mitigate risk.

Experience with advanced laminate (BGA) package design and assembly

Well-developed knowledge of thermal & electrical simulations, ideally Ansys Workbench and Flotherm tools

Superior communication and presentation skills and the ability to lead a small team as needed including mentoring junior engineers

Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems and offer cost-effective solutions

Excellent understanding of qualification standards and failure mechanisms in flip chip packaging

· Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory or management type role

· Report out to container management team on any packaging/packaging material issues

· Automotive packaging experience and knowledge of CAD is an asset

· Manage a team of corporate packaging engineers, located at various facilities

· College diploma in packaging program with a minimum of five (5) years related experience

· Computer literacy along with strong organizational and communication skills is required

Review design efficiency including preparing designs using the latest technology to ensure the best transition between the design and manufacturing processes.

Ensures all designs are as efficient and functional as possible.

Identifies and locates new vendors and suppliers for packaging supplies for INOAC.

Visit vendors and suppliers, as needed to review facilities, new projects, etc.
