Experience in all aspects of a project including the development of requirements specifications/design/prototyping/testing/revision/parts selection and installation

Some knowledge of Transport Canada, FAA or European aircraft design standards and certification processes (asset)

Collaborating in engineering teams with Amtech employees, subcontractors, and clients, offering technical support in structural and mechanical technology

Assisting in achieving ISO standards certification where applicable

Manage the mechanical prototype lab to enable creation, modification and testing of prototypes

Experience using CAD and CAM packages (i.e. SolidWorks, VisualMILL, WinCNC, SprutCAM, PathPilot, etc.)

Experience using Microsoft® Excel, Word, et al.

Maintenance of lab, test and measurement equipment including CNC router, CNC mill, lathe, FDM machine, environmental chambers and paint spray booth

Design, fabricate and modify experimental test apparatus

Execute mechanical verification test plans

Certified or deemed eligible for certification with ASET (or similar association in another province)

0-2 years of relevant work experience

1-2 years of 3D CAD / drafting experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred)

Experience working with Mathcad software is considered an asset

Experience with ASME Section VIII Div 1 and ASME B31.3 codes is considered an asset

Experience with laser scanning technology is considered an asset

Work with technical project manager and assist with project management

Manage project execution activities including contracting, construction, and budget and schedule management under supervision of senior engineers

Experience with CRM/ ERP programs. Knowledge of NetSuite considered an asset

Minimum two (2) years of mechanical design or related experience

Working knowledge of AutoCAD with ability to create equipment layout drawings and P&ID drawings

Fluid handling systems experience is an asset

Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.

Check in and check out drawings through the LP Drawing management system following drawing control practices

Expert drafting skills, with experience in AutoCAD; experience with drawing and CAD standards

Utilizes industry best practices and established standards to ensure drawings adhere to corporate and professional requirements.

Diploma in an Engineering Technology discipline from a recognized polytechnic institution, or a relevant combination of drafting training and experience.

A minimum of 7 years progressively responsible drafting experience with a large oil and gas operator or engineering service provider.
