Strong problem solving and project management skills

AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical experience is an asset

Industrial automation (PLC / HMI) experience is an asset

B.A.Sc. in Electrical (or Mechatronics with strong electronics skills) required

BOM, Schematic and PCB experience

Hands-on experience building, testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits

Hands-on experience with test equipment including signal analyzers, vector network analyzers, signal generators and oscilloscopes

Knowledge of RF fundamentals and design an asset

Working knowledge in at least two of the following systems

Basic knowledge and understanding of OsiSoft PI application suite desirable

Provides technical expertise on DCS, PLC & SCADA configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor upgrades;

Participate in site reviews, respond to RFI’s, and supervise and manage ongoing projects and personnel

A minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience within Canada.

Well developed knowledge of structural engineering and ability to apply structural engineering techniques commonly used in residential and commercial construction

Knowledge of Canadian CSA codes and standards including concrete, wood, steel, & masonry material types

Lead the field coordination of projects to support dam safety and water management activities.

Excellent organizational abilities, strong leadership, mentoring, and supervisory skills are considered essential.

Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements

Provide experienced guidance and supervision to technical staff on dam inspections, field reports, and deficiency tracking and remediation.

Minimum 3 years of experience in tailings or other dam-related work.

Experience in field investigations, dam surveillance, and dam construction activities is considered essential.

Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills along with exceptional time management skills.

The ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and have exceptional organization skills.

At least 2 years of relevant, Canadian experience.

A working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Must have Professional Engineering Certification (P. Eng Canada), with 8+ years of successful experience in hydraulics, and mechanical engineering

Gated Product Development processes, Critical Chain, and other similar project management processes

Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, industry standards, and customer requirements.

Works with manufacturing, production, and quality control to ensure that parts and/or products meet engineering and customer requirements.

Experience with the design of castings, sheet metal, weldments, machined parts, machine elements, and machine assemblies.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in application of engineering concepts

Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; coupled by, relevant experience

Must possess the Professional Engineer Certification for Ontario

Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
