Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor Jobs

Must possess a minimum of a High school diploma or mechanical trade certification;

Proficient knowledge of railway operations (road, yard, locomotive, mechanical);

Working knowledge of CPKC systems (CIM, TYES, YOP, Nexus, ITM, SAP and Wreck Estimator);

Location: Bruderheim, AB (locals or willing to relocate ONLY)

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 12 hour days (when not travelling, 1 WFH day / week)

- Participate project execution strategy development

Records all maintenance and failure events immediately and accurately using the most up to date Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Supports Management efforts to minimize general and Segment-specific Quality and HSE risks and promotes respect, understanding and adherence to safety regulations

Makes recommendations to supervisors on requirements for spare parts, test equipment and tools necessary for efficient maintenance

Understands and complies with Schlumberger's rules and regulations

Ensures all assigned equipment is continually maintained at shop with highest standards, resulting in proper functionality and minimum failures

Performs equipment repair and modification in a competent complete manner in accordance with documented procedures and workmanship standards

$39.28ph + Overtime (OTE: $90,000+) + Days Based + Excellent Training + Excellent Benefits

Must have experience as a Maintenance Technician on CNC machinery

Experience using precision measurement instruments

Interface with Li-Cycle management, business, and engineering teams to resolve project related issues.

Minimum 5 years' experience as a mechanical engineer in an industrial manufacturing design or operating environment

Experience in full project life-cycle execution (i.e. planning through commercialization)

Knowledge of industry best practices

Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Strong analytical, negotiation and creative problem-solving skills

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education / experience.

10 years of experience in the cement industry (Supervisor and Mechanical Manager included – 3 years minimum as a manager)

Experience applying FMEA techniques and knowledge of basic problem-solving tools

Experience and good level of knowledge of Predictive tools.

Knowledge and experience in Condition Monitoring Techniques (Dalog, Vibration/Oil Analysis, NDT)

Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Cost Basics preferred

May assist in developing tooling, featuring and jigs for internal requirements.

Possesses skills to support production system technology related to manufacturing methods.

Possesses foundation skills and appropriate technical / leadership skills.

5-10 years of relevant bench and structural assembly experience

Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.

Utilize Daily Management with crew to track Key Performance Indicators & drive improvement

Use Maintenance Management System to schedule work and document its completion

Accountable for performance management – including discipline, reviews, development – for Trades

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Production

Accountable for exercising effective leadership – leverage potential by engaging commitment, aligning judgment, and developing capabilities

Good oral communication skills are required to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
