Lab Automation Engineer Jobs in Alberta

Good knowledge with QE Processes, Methodologies and Test Design techniques with hands on experience on ALM/Qtest, JIRA and Confluence.

Good knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, DevOps, environments and test integration into CICD pipeline

Excellent communication skills and effective negotiation skills.

Nice-to-have:Hands-on experience in testing the Canadian Trade life-cycle, Order flows for assets like Stocks, Options, Mutual funds, Forex and Fixed income

Experience in Model based testing and tools such as ConformIQ, Hexawise etc.

We are looking for Quality Engineer for one of our direct client in Calgary Alberta (Hybrid).

Other duties as requested by Mechanical Engineering Manager

Good understanding and working knowledge of the following:

Strong computer skills in an MS Office environment

Hands-on practical mechanical and electrical experience

Experience operating CNC mills and lathes considered an asset

Experience with injection molding considered an asset

Project management including cost and schedule tracking/reporting, stakeholder engagement and coordination of internal and external resources

Utilize and support Management of Change (MOC) processes

5 to 15 years of upstream oil & gas or relevant industry engineering experience

2+ years’ of experience with the design of instrumentation systems including pressure, level, flow, temperature and toxic gas measurement

2+ years’ of experience with the design of power distribution systems, utility and power generation, variable frequency drives and starters

Knowledge of EI&C systems engineering design, construction and testing documentation and project deliverables

Strong PLC programming skills, preferably experienced with Allan Bradley Control Logix and PLC5

Strong DCS programming skills, preferably experienced with Foxboro

Assist and facilitate Calgary Operations Engineering Group in Management of Change (MOC) execution and support matters;

Experience with Modicon PLC hardware and programming preferred, knowledge of other programming platforms would be considered as asset;

Experience configuring Cisco managed switches would be an asset;

10-15 years of engineering experience with a P.Eng. designation;

Previous EPC design engineering experience is required;

Process control experience in pipelines, truck terminals, and storage facilities in both HVP and LVP service;

Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Experience in change management practices and programs

Knowledge of EHS standards, industry good practices and legal requirements applicable to the specialty of focus

Coordinate with project managers to ensure automation / controls are incorporated within project schedule.
