Undertakes various financial studies and/or analysis projects to facilitate management decision making, as assigned

Excellent project planning skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage complex and conflicting priorities, practical approach to problem solving

Gathers information to assist in conducting cost/benefit, risk, trend analyzes and prepares forecasts for business cases

Assists in the completion of subsidies, grants and reporting requirements for Norfolk County including gathering and cross-referencing all supporting data.

Liaise with Auditors and Ministry staff in completing reporting requirements

Strong data management computer skills including advanced Excel and database tools like Sage Accpac, Salesforce, etc.

Utilize advanced spreadsheet skills to collect, maintain and analyze financial and statistical data.

Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.

1-2 years of professional experience, manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Primary liaison between FP&A and Accounting to ensure consolidated externally reported results are consistent with those used for forecasting /budgeting.

Provide accounting assistance/support in response to departmental inquiries.

· Data entry, audits, enrolling sub contractors, and checking of subcontractor qualification status.

· 1 + years of Finance or Accounting related experience is an asset.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proven understanding of how to read financial statements and all components such as accrued liabilities.

· Recent graduate of a Business or Accounting & Finance Degree Program is required.

· Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Years of Experience: 1 years of work experience in a financial setting

1 years of cost accounting work experience

Strong PC application skills (Advanced Microsoft Excel)

Experience with ERP systems (familiarity with JD Edwards would be considered an asset)

Identify and drive improvements to existing processes, tools, and information knowledge.

The Main Duties/responsibilities Of This Role Include

Experience in financial analysis, accounting skills and commercial acumen

Manage and oversee the financial analysis process, including vendor invoice payments, coding, and forecasting support.

Provide expert advisory support in invoice payment procedures, utilizing knowledge of G/L and responsibility codes, and escalate issues when necessary.

Previous experience in Analytical role - 3-5 years

Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, planning, and forecasting activities related to expenses and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) to support internal processes.

Generate accurate and timely reports on key financial and sales metrics, accompanied by insightful commentary, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
