Urgently looking for Senior/Intermediate/Junior Mechanical Engineers (P. Eng/EIT) for Site C project, Fort St. John, BC, Canada

Field reviews and conformance with IFC and/or design intent documents.

Project management experience, particularly in managing complex projects on batch plants.

Assist in the preparation of layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.

1-2 years of experience in Mechanical and Materials Handling design drafting.

Experience in 2D and 3D Mechanical design and plant layout.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Address design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with team members, and raising issues in a timely manner.

3. Evaluate and manage PCO’s from the Construction Contractor

4. Coordinate with Design Engineer on potential design changes and manage engineering change notices with Construction Contractor.

5. Evaluate and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)

2. Extensive experience in designing and/or constructing industrial facilities. Previous power plant experience is preferred.

6. Participate in site safety and environmental policies.

Fluid/slurry pumping and piping designs

Solid and bulk material handling, conveying, crushing, dust collection, etc.

General mechanical machine design and platework

Fuel storage and distribution – Liquid and Gaseous Fuels such as Diesel or Propane

Development/input to Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) development

Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology

Read and understand piping, pipeline, and equipment specifications

Be familiar with piping, pipeline, and equipment Industrial Standards (ASME, API, CSA)

Understand and use P&IDs on projects

Specify, evaluate, and select oil and gas processing equipment and piping systems

Master's, Bachelor's or technical degree in civil engineering, construction management or related degree

Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

0-2 years of work experience

Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is preferred

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to travel and relocate as needed

5 years of experience in operating facilities doing hands on work on mechanical assets, including rotating.

Previous experience working with engineering drawings, PI&Ds, etc.
