5+ years of current hands-on experience in receiving required, ideally in a manufacturing environment

Experience supervising or directing the activities of warehouse staff

Daily management of shipments, including booking trucks and coordinating deliveries.

Provide management with cost information for logistics bids on new and existing programs.

Update inventory records and provide management with inventory reports three times a week.

Ensure daily shipping of all orders through Rubicon to facilitate the closure of consignments in collaboration with the finance team.

Two or more years of experience in a shipping or logistics field.

Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work effectively under time pressure.

Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS office, specifically excel

Excellent accuracy and organization skills complimented by the ability to multi-task and prioritize

Excellent knowledge of overall warehousing process

Physically moving pallets out of bulk and pick case locations

Assigning items to pick or bulk locations in AS400

Verify weights/ measurements/ pallet configuration information on materials with discrepancies

Work well under pressure, with excellent time management skills.

Ensure all equipment/vehicles crossing border meet CBP requirements for entry including documentation, licensing & permits.

3-5 years experience with imports/exports between the US & Canada, equipment focused and experience working with brokerage considered an asset

Excellent computer and organizational skills, including proficiency in excel

Excellent communication skills, ability to interact in a professional manner, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.

JDE knowledge considered an asset, but not required. Ability and desire to learn new systems and Valard specific processes.

Inventory and supply chain management experience

Oversee the Inventory Management – by providing weekly and monthly inventory analysis and analytical support

Manage relationship with Third Party Logistics Company (3PL)

Build and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors

Manage cresting booth sheets with player SKU matrices in Yellow Dog

Proven skills in inventory analysis and reporting

Materials Management and Central Canada Logistics Group

Communicate with customers and Vale finance to expedite invoice payments and follow-up on any outstanding issues

Utilize knowledge of shipping Dangerous Goods to ensure all regulations are met.

Organize and handle logistics work for inbound or outbound sea containers.

Track the movement of trucks, containers, railcars using external portals and provide required reports

Administer all logistics functions with due diligence and integrity, adhering to all legal and company policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management

Considerable knowledge of laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to inventory management and transportation practices.

A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

Manage & Develop approved carriers for ShawFlex & DSG-Canusa

Manage direct shipments to customers as required.

Manage freight and export documentation

Post-secondary diploma or degree preferably in supply chain, materials & operations management, Logistics, International Trade, or related, e.g., business administration, finance.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience supervising/managing people, and performance management.

Minimum 5-years’ experience in progressive materials management role(s), e.g. inventory, warehousing, shipping/receiving, stock control, or related supply chain roles.

Applicable certifications/designations would be an asset, e.g. CPIM, CLTD, CITT.

Experience in material planning, inventory control, and production control would also be considered.

Minimum 5-years using an ERP and/or WMS software system(s) for inventory/material planning/MRP/Warehousing. Experience using Epicor ERP system would be asset.

Some Experience with Costing and Inventory id preferred

Knowledge of accounts payable cycle

Experience working in high volume/transaction environment.

Must have basic math skills Soft Skills Required

Compensation will vary based on experience

Verifies accurate inventory levels, recording inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles

Must have good stress management skills.

A good knowledge of WHMIS is essential as well as previous experience in the freight industry.

College diploma in a related field or +, or relevant related experience.

Experience with Zoho One and DYNACOM.

Assisting in performing cycle counts as directed by the manager.

Must be organized and efficient.
