The Opportunity


Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics Administrator ensures that all orders are processed in a timely manner and that products shipped match the requirement of the delivery orders, and the purchased items received match the requirement of the purchase orders. This includes ensuring materials meet the required specifications and are shipped or received in the proper quantity and condition.


The Team


The Logistics Administrator is part of a team of 6 in the Logistics department


Responsibilities


  • Follow shipping schedule and distributing to affected personnel.
  • Monitor transportation activities.
  • Scan hardcopy of shipping & receiving documents, and upload into ERP system.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations.
  • Arrange special services (e.g. Expedites) as required.
  • Communicate shipping information to customers as required.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Customer Experience and Planning & Production to ensure a smooth transition from sales order to delivery
  • Respond to internal/external customer/supplier concerns.
  • Keep management aware of progress, developments, and pending problems.
  • Fill out paperwork, including invoices, bills of lading, customs papers, waybills, etc.
  • Generate NCR’s for nonconforming material and updates NCR tracking system when receiver activity assignments are complete.
  • Input purchase order information into the ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable H & S regulations and standards.
  • Communicate with Customer Experience team on customer deliveries.
  • Ensure that products received are identified properly in accordance with appropriate Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Enrolment in CITT/P.Log. designation an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of details and tasks quickly and effectively.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience is an asset.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Good judgement/problem solving ability, along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with SAP is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures is an asset.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Ability to maintain records and keep track of all areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to check orders on trailers.
