Intermediate Instrumentation Engineer Jobs

4 to 9 years relevant electrical CAD experience (previous experience in design drafting or equivalent educational experience using CAD computer systems)

Working knowledge and good understanding of Electrical Code and Standards such OESC, CEC, CSA and IEEE.

Certification in CAD or Drafting would be a strong asset

Experience with AutoCAD version 2014 or higher. Experience with Plant 3D is preferred

Experience with construction site, ability to perform site inspection and work closely with contractor during constructions.

Experience with Microsoft Office is a must

Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Support supervisor on tools and material planning and management.

Experience with high voltage, high power system and cabling; familiar with electrical codes and safety requirements.

Prior experience or knowledge of ISO 17025 or 9001 accreditation.

Experience in vehicle wiring harness; knowledge of cable sizing, connectors.

Complete required training; follow safety requirements.

• Minimum 8 years of Experience in Design

5-10 years of formal training and experience in engineering design or EPCM projects in the oil and gas or related industry

Formal exposure and experience in instrumentation technology would be an asset

Project Engineering experience would be an asset

Experience working with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and network systems

Experience in the selection and application of instrumentation and control equipment

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in I&C engineering and design

Experience with a variety of DCSs and PLCs, preferably with Allen Bradley

Experience in sizing, selecting and material requisition development for instrumentation

Provide guidance as the Instrumentation & Control Subject Matter Expert for capital projects and in management of site-wide standards

Experience with regulatory process control and knowledge of advanced process control

Experience developing new instrumentation applications in an industrial setting, coordinating with instrumentation trades

Experience with instrumentation & control safety and reliability

Experience reading, updating, and developing instrumentation & control documentation

Should have Knowledge in specifying process plant instruments and hands on experience in selection of instrumentation.

Instrumentation knowledge and experience – set-up, calibration verification, adjustments, etc.

Knowledge in PLC and SCADA systems for industrial networks.

Experienced in LV Electrical Distribution Design Power Distribution Panels, Motor Control Centers for process plants in compliance with NEC.

Knowledge on Machine Safety – CAT 3 wiring.

Knowledge on control panel design as per UL508A.

Collaboration with project management/engineering staff to achieve project objectives;

Full knowledge, understanding and application of Electrical Codes, Standards and Regulations;

Technical strength coupled with interpersonal skills;

Strong PC skills and polished, professional written and verbal communication.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all engineering activates;

Supervision of a project and project team from concept to completion;

Identifies Automation deliverables in accordance to project scope with Project Management team.

Coordinates with project managers to determine project scope, complexity and schedule for project development.

Manages and delegates tasks to up to 4 project members to meet project scope, schedule, and deadlines.

5+ years of relevant work experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with Pharmaceutical process instrumentation.

Experienced with ISA standards and the interpretation of P&I drawings.

Product Verification & Validation Management.

Previous experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems instrument selection.

Previous experience with HAZOP & LOPA.

Experience with the following standards UL508, UL508A, NFPA79, NFPA 70, CSA.

Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE.

Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in North America.
