Job Description

Required Experience:

  • Equivalent, NEC, CEC, OSHA, and other standards for North America.
  • Instrumentation & control components calculation, selection, and integration.
  • Experience in international engineering teams.
  • Proactive person who takes ownership over the assigned duties.
  • Experience with the following standards UL508, UL508A, NFPA79, NFPA 70, CSA.
  • Thorough background in PFD, P&ID, Electrical drawings, & LV considerations.
  • Previous experience with DFMA.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Must be able to deal with complex and sometimes contradicting requirements.
  • Working understanding of Siemens PLC’s, analog/digital inputs, etc.
  • Previous experience developing and driving internal WF processes cross disciplines.
  • Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in North America.
  • Previous experience with HAZOP & LOPA.
  • Can handle ambiguity by decoupling major goals into achievable work packages.
  • Thorough understanding of all applicable NA Electrical, & Safety standards.
  • Previous experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems instrument selection.
  • Good command of WSCAD, SEE Electrical, ePlan, AutoCad Electrical, Conval.
  • Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE.
  • Ability to work in design, & selection environments, as well as manufacturing & commissioning.
  • Self starter, positive, with a strong ability to work cross functionally in a matrix organization with limited supervision.

  • Masters degree in Electrical engineering is considered an asset.


Background:

  • Previous EPC, Oil & Gas experience is considered an asset.
  • At least 5 year of practical experience handling I&C design, selection, installation, commissioning.
