Instrumentation Specialist Engineer Jobs

5-10 years of formal training and experience in engineering design or EPCM projects in the oil and gas or related industry

Formal exposure and experience in instrumentation technology would be an asset

Project Engineering experience would be an asset

Experience working with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and network systems

Experience in the selection and application of instrumentation and control equipment

• Strong organizational and project management skills

· Experienced Lead Engineer with proven skills in managing taskforce

• Experience in SIL, SIF study

• Coordination skills with workshare offices and Client

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

• Minimum 8 years of Experience in Design

Should have Knowledge in specifying process plant instruments and hands on experience in selection of instrumentation.

Instrumentation knowledge and experience – set-up, calibration verification, adjustments, etc.

Knowledge in PLC and SCADA systems for industrial networks.

Experienced in LV Electrical Distribution Design Power Distribution Panels, Motor Control Centers for process plants in compliance with NEC.

Knowledge on Machine Safety – CAT 3 wiring.

Knowledge on control panel design as per UL508A.

Identifies Automation deliverables in accordance to project scope with Project Management team.

Coordinates with project managers to determine project scope, complexity and schedule for project development.

Manages and delegates tasks to up to 4 project members to meet project scope, schedule, and deadlines.

5+ years of relevant work experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with Pharmaceutical process instrumentation.

Experienced with ISA standards and the interpretation of P&I drawings.

Product Verification & Validation Management.

Previous experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems instrument selection.

Previous experience with HAZOP & LOPA.

Experience with the following standards UL508, UL508A, NFPA79, NFPA 70, CSA.

Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE.

Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in North America.

Support the implementation of maintenance requirements (PM program updates) for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) testing and verifications.

Support the implementation of maintenance requirements (PM program updates) for CSA Z662 compliance, including programs for critical valves & related instrumentation.

Ten years of related experience, including at least three years directly supporting operations in either a maintenance or engineering role.

General understanding of AER directives and regulatory requirements for metering measurement and reporting.

Motivation and initiative with superb communication, interpersonal and organization skills

A demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage and prioritize multiple projects
