Analyze information obtained from management in order to conceptualize and define operational problems;

Manage databases and electronic data services (i.e. Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.);

Continue to build industry knowledge and find avenues for independent investigation in the sector; and

Minimum 1-2 years full time equity research work experience or 2-4 years of industry experience;

Advanced qualification (CFA, P. Eng, P. Geo, MBA, or CPA) would be an asset but not required;

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

Analyze information obtained from management in order to conceptualize and define operational opportunities and weaknesses;

Continues to build industry knowledge;

Minimum 2 years’ work experience with preference for prior equity research roles;

Creating reports and giving presentations to senior management

Assisting in model change management related activities for catastrophe model vendor updates and the Validus View of Risk

Working knowledge of industry catastrophe models (AIR & RMS) and MS SQL, 2 1/2+ years related work experience

Domain knowledge of the P&C treaty reinsurance/insurance market

Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, economics, finance, statistics, meteorology, earth sciences, computer science, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills i.e. a thorough command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation

Primary responsibility for methodological and statistical content of publications, funding applications and knowledge translation initiatives

Proven experience in SQL and .NET is required

Working knowledge of Angular and Python would be an asset

10+ years dynamic work experience in a marketing function, or in a related field

5+ years of experience working in digital media across all channels (search, social, programmatic, video etc.)

Experience managing large to medium scale projects and planning multi-channel media for large budgets

Experience with project management including all aspects of project development and execution

Master's Degree in social sciences, humanities, STEM or business administration, or acceptable combination of equivalent experience

Experience researching and analyzing market data including performing market research, competitive landscape analysis and environmental scans

Experience with grant development and grant writing with a track-record of success

Research on Canadian policies and income security programs such as Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program

Inform the public about government policies and their implications through virtual and in-person presentations

Explain eligibility and application procedures for different government programs

Excellent knowledge of best practices in project management methodology

Certification in Project Management is optional, but desirable.

Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

Experience in all aspects of the project is preferred: design development, working drawings, contract administration, and field services

Monitoring of project controls and associated reporting as well as profit & loss responsibilities for the practice

Minimum of 5-10+ years of related experience as a project architect, with construction phase experience

Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures

Demonstrated background of experience detailing institutional buildings, both new and renovations.
