Injection Mold Tooling Technician Jobs

Quality Management System – Understand and apply GN Corporations Inc. Quality system requirements, including customer requirements and legal requirements:

Experience with Six Sigma process improvement projects (Six Sigma certification is an asset)

Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities while meeting scope and schedule requirements

5-10 years' experience in CNC machine tools manufacturing environment

Experience in Microsoft Office tools

Experience in CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, PDM, Esprit)

Manage the plastic part inspection team/department. Set priorities for the team and ensure the equipment maintenance/certification is up to date.

Post-Secondary education – Engineering/Business disciplines or proven relevant experience.

Proven knowledge of Injection Molding business ideally with ten years plus experience.

Manage and coordinate all service requests.

Confer with other managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

Experience working with ERP Systems an asset.

Manage single tool design projects when requested

Mould Designer, ideally with injection mould experience

College diploma / University degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience an asset

Several years advanced mould design experience

Strong working knowledge of Siemens NX Mold Wizard in all facets of tool design

Assist in design of tooling at the direction of the Design Team Leader

Preference will be given to those with injection molding management experience

Develop, manage and report out Key Process Indicators for the Technical department.

Manage day to day Technical Team performance in support of Plant Operations

Manage Technical department improvement activities in support of Plant Operations

BS Degree, Related in Mechanical Engineering, Mold Technology, or equivalent combination of work experience, training, and industry experience

Must have 10+ years' experience in a leadership role, within a manufacturing environment

Minimum Qualifications:- 4 Years– Experience in Field or similar maintenance environment

Experience may include a combination of work experience and education

Preferred Qualifications:- 6 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

Skilled in fabrication capabilities such as cutting and welding (mig, tig or stick)

experience may include a combination of work experience and education

4 Years – Experience in Position

Hourly pay: $16.00 to $24.00/hour based on experience and certifications

Maintain, repair and upgrade all existing injection molds.
