Injection Molding Operator Jobs

Our client, a world class global manufacturer is looking for an Injection Moulding Set-up Technician on the afternoon shift for one of their plants in the Vaughan area.

Minimum requirements:

• 3-5 years injection molding experience at the set-up or process engineering level

• Relevant training/education in injection molding

• Must be able to perform tool changes and equipment set-up related to injection molding machine

• Valid Forklift license and Crane

• Able to maneuver large equipment molds large pierce unit and chemical drums in very tight areas

• Knowledge of press controls, molding parameters, tool set-up and other pieces of equipment to operate injection line as well as SPC, WHMIS and QS9000 requirements

Responsibilities include:

• Follow written set-up instructions and fill out proper set-up papers

• Inspection of press and tooling at the beginning of the shift and completion of safety checklists

• Perform mold changes/pierce dies changeover in a timely manner according to schedule and maintain housekeeping as per company standard

• Monitor and maintain process to make quality parts

• Maintain Visual Production Boards, monitor repeat items, assist in developing action plans to improve efficiency
