Head Athletic Therapist Jobs in Manitoba

Clinical experience with a variety of patient populations.

Advance taping, bandaging and splinting experience.

Familiarity and experience with a variety of “soft goods” applications, adjustments and maintenance.

Proficiency in evaluation, rehabilitation and education of orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries.

Ability to assist in the supervision and education of medical therapy, nursing and other students.

Team concept skills in a multidisciplinary medical environment.

Assisting in the development of the risk management procedures for the department

Strong organizational skills; displays a high degree of judgment and analytical decision-making ability and must demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge skills.

Providing Health education, prevention, immediate care, assessment and rehabilitation for varsity athletes sport related injuries.

A 4-year degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education or Athletic Therapy from a recognized institution

Certification (in good standing) with the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association.

Minimum 2 years of experience working in a post-secondary environment, dealing with competitive high impact, multiple sports and activity related injuries
