Concussion management certification & Taping/Strapping certification an asset

Documentation of all injuries & communication to coaches/management

Previous experience in junior hockey an asset

Previous experience in strength and fitness an asset

Preference will be given to candidates certified as Athletic Therapists

Must be First Aid certified

Continuing education, workshops, and/or certifications in manual therapy techniques preferred

Tend to any injured athlete or student with first responder qualifications in the Student Recreation Centre

Source medical and therapeutic equipment as requested by the Manager

Minimum two years of experience with contact and non-contact sports coverage

First Responder Certification through an accredited provider

Provide clinical assessment of musculoskeletal injuries of Conestoga varsity athletes; Assessments of all acute, insidious, and chronic injuries.

Continuing education, workshops, and/or certifications in manual therapy techniques preferred

Sourcing medical & therapeutic equipment as requested by the Manager

Two years of experience with contact and/or non-contact sports coverage in a high-performance setting is preferred

First Responder Certification through an accredited provider

Attending varsity practices and league games to provide on-field emergency care to varsity student athletes

Preparing emergency action plans for homes games, tournaments, and when travelling with teams

Reports to: General Manager and Head Coach

Skate sharpening and equipment maintenance (experience is considered an asset but training is available).

Comply with all BCHL and organizational regulations and requirements.

Experience in the hockey industry

Game and practice preparation, including dressing room maintenance.

Responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses of players.

Respond to inquiries from our student-athletes (players), their parents, team management, and coaches.

Recognize, assess, manage, and rehabilitate musculoskeletal injuries.

Act as a liaison between student-athletes (Players) and General Manager and Coaches.

• Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Initiate, design, and implement specialized therapy programs.

Observe and analyze players during treatment sessions.

Current First Aid and CPR certification, experience and knowledge pertaining to event management, sports camps and facility equipment.

Strong administrative and organizational skills along with people management abilities including a pleasant, positive manner with callers and guests.

Two to three years previous experience in athletic event management and promotions and sports camp management.
