Fund Development Associate Jobs in Manitoba

Salary: $60,000-75,000 per year + benefits dependent on skills & experience

At least 3-5 years of proven success in a charitable fundraising environment or the equivalent education and experience

Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

- Track and monitor donor activities and contributions in CanadaHelps Donor Management System (DMS)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in public speaking and presentations, are required

Experience in event planning, solicitation of gifts of varying sizes and frequency

Oversees all aspects of donor and partner relationship management, including prospecting, solicitation, grant reporting, stewardship, and communicating results.

6-8 years recent, related professional experience in a charity, educational institution, or corporate social responsibility program environment.

Knowledge of CRA charitable receipting requirements.

Ability to draw on the diversity of skills, backgrounds, and knowledge of people to achieve outstanding results.

Leadership, Strategy, Donor and Team Management (75%)

Ensures partnerships offer shared value, including relevant and unique value propositions, developing partnership constructs, and leading contract negotiations.

Review/Prepare fee schedules including calculation of management fees and carried interest, ensuring all calculations observe applicable fund documents

Experience in supervisory skills and/or coaching / mentoring

Collaborate with client, banks, auditors and property managers to ensure smooth delivery to clients and completion of deliverables

Demonstrable experience working in the fund administration industry or audit

Private Equity or Real Estate experience is preferred

Experience in working on a Private Equity or Real Estate accounting system, preferably Yardi or Investran

- Experience coordinating multiple projects independently and strong time management skills.

- Experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) database, preferably Raisers’ Edge or similar fundraising software.

Salary: $40,000-$50,000 depending on experience, with comprehensive benefits

Location: In office in Toronto (Yonge and Eglinton) with some flexibility for working from home

- Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.

- Experience with website backend (ideally WordPress) is an asset.

Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as nonprofit management, business administration, or communications) is preferred.

Corporate and community partnership development and management

Manage a corporate and community engagement strategy that drives appreciation and a deeper connection to how donor investments impact our work.

Delivering on stewardship and reporting requirements for their assigned portfolio to achieve retention and growth targets.

Review accruals and billings, management fee calculations, investment ledger, waterfall calculations for several funds and their related entities

Support Fund Managers throughout quarter-end and year-end processes

Support Fund Managers and fund administrators in the delivery and issuance of quarterly investor reporting

Oversee and support all other ongoing reporting deliverables of the Funds, including compliance certifications, credit facility compliance and regulatory reporting

Assist with special projects led by the Private Equity Fund Finance Team, or in collaboration with other corporate groups

Minimum 2 years related experience

Finance management - work closely with our finance team to manage the Fund’s financial operations and budget management

University Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience preferably in fund accounting

Prepare reconciliations of cash, positions, and accruals of client funds managed within the team

Computer skills with strengths in Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is an asset.

Advanced investigative, and problem solving skills

Prepare pricing of portfolios ensuring all holdings are priced observing the applicable fund documents and valuation policies

Excellent time-management skills, organized and task-oriented, with an ability to respond in a timely fashion to donor inquiries and team communications.

Working knowledge of content management software, including Asana, WordPress, Adobe CC, and minor video editing is strongly desired.

Any other tasks as required by management.

Working with event staff to secure sponsorship and manage sponsor relations.

Managing a database that includes data entry, record maintenance and documentation.

Post-secondary degree or certificate in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or previous experience in a communications or social media role.

Perform research and resolution on exception items; escalate unresolved issues to management as needed

Demonstrate progression of process knowledge and understanding of all relevant functional activities in the team

Manage own development by engaging in the PPR process, seeking feedback from others and by attending mandated and relevant training

Complete subscription, redemptions, transfer forms and other fund of funds investment related documents

Deliver services in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that assigned work is performed to meet internal standards

Resolve routine problems using own initiative and escalate complex issues as needed
