This is a problem-solving course in which an extensive treatment of differential calculus and an introduction to integral calculus is given.
The course covers limits, continuity and differentiation of functions including exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions.
Emphasis is placed on practical applications of the derivative such as graph sketching, extrema and related rate problems.
Other topics will include: anti-derivatives; area under curves; indeterminate forms and l’Hopital’s rule.
