Enforcement Manager Jobs

Experience in using e-discovery and litigation management applications is an asset

The Canadian Securities Course, the Branch Managers Course or the Chief Compliance Officers Qualifying Exam would be an asset.

Minimum three years of litigation experience preferably in securities and regulatory enforcement.

Knowledge of administrative law, the rules of evidence and securities law including mutual fund dealer rules

Issue fee parking notices to vehicles not in compliance with parking policy and procedure.

Utilize pay-by-phone and electronic validation systems to ensure vehicles in lots are authorized.

Experienced with Microsoft Windows PCs and related applications (Word / Excel / Access / Outlook)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Remain calm and professional even when dealing with challenging customers.

Utilize License Plate Recognition (LPR) system monitor for compliance with parking policy and procedure.

Strong report writing, research, analytical and project management skills to meet program objectives and work within tight deadlines.

Successful completion of a University Degree in Environmental Health or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.

Manages the implementation of process improvements, and special projects for the Branch/Division.

Knowledge of the Region’s population, geography, health status and health needs. 

Good communication skills to respond to enquiries and/or complaints with the public, businesses, media, etc.  

Develops policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols relevant to defined areas of responsibility, and ensures they are adhered to by staff.

Educate the public when appropriate of the use of parking space and requirement for payment.

Manage portfolio of parking locations in Penticton.

Report any deficiencies on locations with respect to appearance, safety, equipment and lighting.

Deal with daily driver renewals, issuance of new plates and completion of multi-step complicated vehicle transfers.

Experience in using e-discovery and litigation management applications, including Everlaw and Case Center

Advanced knowledge of administrative law, the rules of evidence and securities law including Investment Dealer and Partially Consolidated Rules and UMIR

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Excellent organization and presentation skills

Conduct disciplinary hearings involving violations of Investment Dealer and Partially Consolidated Rules and/or the Universal Market Integrity Rules (UMIR)

Represent New SRO staff on review hearings or appeals before the securities commissions or courts

Minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in law enforcement is required

Minimum 3 years supervisory/leadership experience with proven ability to direct evaluate and effectively manage staff

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills) is required, with previous experience in report writing is an asset

Conduct policy and program review studies to assess the impact, cost benefit and merits of existing and future initiatives

Acts as back up to Manager in his/her absence and performs other related duties as they may be assigned

Working knowledge of the City by-laws, the Provincial Offences Act and an understanding of the municipal process is preferred

• University Degree in Law, Public Administration or suitable equivalent, including combination of experience and education.
