1-3 years of relevant work experience in Emergency Management, government, public safety, consulting, or similarly related field
Complete administrative tasks as required to support Calian Emergency Management (PO’s, amendments, proposals, project plans, etc.)
Support the development of the organization’s emergency management plan (and related documents) as requested
Support the development, delivery, and evaluation of emergency management training, including exercises and other scenario-based learning events, for diverse clients
Keep Project Manager(s) apprised of any challenges or barriers to competition of assigned project tasks
Maintain effective communication with Project Manager(s) and other project team members
Emergency Management Professional Jobs

Have previous experience as an emergency management professional within government would be considered an asset.
Have experience writing technical documents and reports related to a wide-range of projects within the pillars of Emergency Management.
Emergency Management Plan Reviews and Revisions/Rewrites
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Business Continuity experience and professional designations, such as an ABCP or CBCP, would be considered an asset.
French language skills would be an asset.
Emergency Management Advisor - Planning [Canadian Red Cross]

Work with Information Management to collect, analyze and present critical information internally and externally as required by operational needs.
Conduct concise and timely briefings with the PDCT on current operations and developments.
Coordinate operational planning with the PDCT Lead, function leads and relevant staff, including planning meetings as part of the operational cycle.
Work with PDCT functions to ensure that they are properly prepared to fulfill their respective support roles within operations.
During a response, monitor situations outside the current response that could disrupt the response itself or simultaneous operations.
Fluency in French and English is required.
