A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

Develop school policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with board requirements.

Develop an annual project plan and manage these projects.

Bachelor's Degree in Education (Required)

Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation of employees

Ideally, 5+ years of work experience within the BC education system in an administrative or management role

Development and management of relationships with school principals and other education representatives

Outstanding leadership, presentation and management skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

2+ years’ experience working with students with learning disabilities (literacy, numeracy and foundational skills)

Establishment and management of service provision contracts and oversight of scheduling logistics

• You have knowledge and experience in applying government financial management policies and with transfer payment oversight.

Relationship Management and Political Acuity

• You have in-depth knowledge of the issues within the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit education communities

• Develop strategic frameworks to support Indigenous education in Ontario.

• Identify and prioritize critical Indigenous education issues and concerns as part of the annual budget-setting process.

• Work closely with colleagues across governments to ensure a collaborative approach across the education sectors.

• Minimum 5 years of education management experience in a director/executive role

Operations, Data, and Information Management

• Please note: A combination or relevant experience and education will be considered

• Master’s Degree in Education, Public Administration, or Business Administration

• Proven leadership experience working with multiple partners/organizations

Key areas of responsibility include:

A minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an operational or program management role within the education industry.

Demonstrated management experience, including the ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced, service-driven environment, is highly preferred.

Advanced problem-solving and conflict resolution management skills.

Knowledge of the private college education sector and best practices in post-secondary education.

Develop proposals for new projects/initiatives to improve student experience and service standards.

Participate in the hiring process for new employees in student services, student experience and facility positions.

Five (5) years campus management or similar management experience with strong familiarity with the higher education industry or relevant operational experience.

Must have strong budgeting skills and a working knowledge of appropriate financial analysis techniques.

Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs.

Analyze all fiscal requirements for campus and execute strategies to achieve the same.

Monitor all objectives and strategic goals for operations and finances and ensure achievement of the same.

Must have prior successful experience in leadership roles with a variety of constituencies.

Experience as a senior leader in policing or security is preferred.

Experience making presentations regarding investigations, safety, and security

Experience working in a matrix environment, building/managing relationships with senior leaders

A seasoned professional, with 12-15+ years of comparable experience in management consulting and the Education sector.

University degree in business, management, operations, engineering, MBA or equivalent from an accredited university.

Ability to cultivate relationships at management and executive levels, both internally and externally, including to drive business development initiatives

Ability to navigate a multi-stakeholder environment and senior levels with the ability to build and foster long-term relationships with our clients.

Ability to succeed in both team-based and independent environments
