Drafting Technician – Full Time Jobs in Ontario

Incorporating educational technologies to meet the learning needs of 21st Century students

Providing a learning environment which makes effective use of available resources including educational technologies

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, or equivalent, preferably in a postsecondary setting;

Minimum 5 years practical experience in a construction related field;

Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code;

Extensive knowledge of commercial construction, designing structural systems, and/or structural coordination;

Minimum three (3) years experience in setting, operating, calibrating, troubleshooting,

Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree or equivalent in Building Construction and/or Cabinetmaking Diploma;

Repairing and installing woodworking machinery;

This position is paid at a Payband H

•Regconizing any changes and communicating this to project managers and estimators.

•Post-secondary education in Architectural or Engineering program.

•Experience with structural steel & misc. metal would be an asset.

•Converting design intent to specified product detail with thorough consideration of OBS & industry standards.

•Understanding the scope of work, constructability, and collaborating with shop for accurate fabrication.

•Responsible for all site measurements as required or coordination.

Effective communication and sales skills, and experience in working directly with the public

Process customer requirements, parts, accessories, product through POS terminal and internal computer network (SAP/MGV)

Ensure courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient service to all customers to maximize 100% customer satisfaction.

General service branch opening and closing responsibilities including cash registers and computers

Compressor repair experience on equipment an asset

Experience in a service environment a must, preferably with power tool repair experience
