Strong skills in strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of professional development programs across a large complex health care organization.

Advanced writing skills and ability to articulate policy and guidelines.

Advanced consultation, facilitation, and decision-making skills.

The Advisor will work with Continuing Education to ensure proper data management and student progression in the non-credit coursework.

The Advisor position will be responsible for the design and management of job-readiness programs:

2 years work experience and knowledge of Orbis, Mentorlink, D2L, and Peoplesoft required.

Familiarity and 3 years experience with facilitating skills to assist students with job search success.

Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, including written, oral, one on one and group as demonstrated by professional experience

Abilities in problem identification, reasoning, and developing original ideas to solve problems, demonstrated with professional experience.

An understanding of the MS Office suite (spreadsheets, presentation software, outlook, etc.), databases, and internet applications at an intermediate level; and

Developing skills profile study strategies for students in collaboration with faculty.

Supporting each scheduled class by supplementing class material to assist student learning.

Extracting important concepts from the course content and supplementing class material for student use.

Assist in outside class learning (develop study guides, review questions or project outlines).

Providing a smooth transition for students into college/academic life.

Attending classes with student to promote smooth integration with other students and faculty.

2-3 years of related experience in recruiting, student advising, career counseling, and coaching.

Experience and comfort with networking and following up on cold and warm employer partnerships.

Experience and comfort delivering presentations and workshops ranging from 20-50+ participants.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment where KPIs were driving student employment success.

Ensures a collaborative working relationship with Allard Law’s student government(s), student clubs, and student organizations.

Develops and updates electronic law-related career handouts.

Maintains accurate student advising records.

Participates in the evaluation of career programs and services.

Experience in pre-employment and essential skill development knowledge

Excellent organizational and time management

Assist students in identifying career paths and the necessary transferable skills and competencies

Utilize personalized tools (Lumina, Skyhive) to provide personalized guidance on career paths and transferable skills

Collect and record information on job placement and career changes among digital students in accordance with reporting requirements

3-5 years work experience providing career advice (resume and cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile, Interview Prep) to career pivoters
