Diagnostic Services Clerk Jobs

Previous PACS experience an asset.

Grade XII or recognized equivalent

Keyboard Speed - 35 wpm.

Ability to read, write speak and understand English.

Ability to interact well with others.

Recent experience with office equipment including computers, fax machines, and copiers.

Grade 12 education or equivalent.

Completion of post-secondary education in office administration through a business school or college an asset.

Excellent knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrates interpersonal skills through clear communication and positive behavior.

3 years of experience applying formal tools and methodologies in organizational change management and project management.

Certificate in quality management and/or patient safety from an accredited institution such as the Canadian Patient Safety Institute is an asset.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

7 years of progressive experience implementing clinical health services changes, involving health services leadership.

3 years of experience leading and coordinating systemic improvements with health services.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience with RightFax and Laser Fiche considered and asset.

Experience in Diagnostic Imaging Department or of Diagnostic Imaging Requisition processing preferred.

Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards required.

Must be highly motivated, meticulous, detailed orientated and have strong organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize work under the direction of the Manager and adhere to details.

Extensive knowledge and experience caring for patients with Heart Failure preferred

Previous experience in providing and delivering patients and families with educational teaching

Demonstrated experience and knowledge with HIS and computer preferred

Identifies patient/family educational learning needs

Provide education and instruction to patients and their families, in collaboration with the inter professional team and follow-up, as required

Minimum of 3 years Cardiology and/or Coronary Care experience

Experience with a laboratory information management system (LIMS) is required

At least 3 years of administrative experience with emphasis on administrative and organizational skills is required

Support preparation and distribution of educational and promotional material in preparation for DSU expansion and other purposes

Post-secondary education in the area of administrative support or the life sciences is strongly desired

Must have at least 6 months of experience working in a veterinary laboratory environment that includes handling of animal tissues

A minimum of 1 year experience in a Diagnostic Services Department or as a hospital unit clerk is required.

Experience with various types of filing systems is preferred.

Experience with "window based" computer systems is required.

Knowledge or training in general office procedures is required.

Excellent knowledge of the English language (grammar, spelling and punctuation).

Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
